I Love New York App Promotes Tourism with Location-based Alerts

Screen1_AlottoloveEmpire State Developments Division of Tourism has launched a free I Love New York app aimed at promoting tourism throughout the state, enabling users and visitors to access information on thousands of destinations, attractions and events.

The app, which will be supported by a television ad campaign, features a step-by-step concierge function enabling users to build a travel itinerary, hundreds of events that can be saved directly to the devices calendar app, dozens of curated adventures and location-based alerts about top destinations.

The app also includes instant access to Google Maps to help visitors navigate their way to places to visit and stay, with interest-based filters to help plan the perfect vacation or outing. The app is available for both iOS and Android, and integrates email and social platforms to let visitors share their experiences with others.
