Incipio Cashwrap to Bring Isis NFC Payment to iPhone?

Isis Mobile Payments NFCLack of NFC support on iOS devices has been one of the biggest obstacles to adoption of mobile payments systems, like Isis in the US, which depend on NFC technology.

A potential solution to this problem will be coming shortly, however, with the release of the Incipio Cashwrap, a range of cases for various iPhone models incorporating micro-NFC chips.

The Cashwraps retail packaging, which was leaked to Engadget, features instructions for using the case to make Isis payments. AT&T, one of the US operators which founded the Isis joint venture, has reportedly started stocking the product in stores, although its not yet available to buy.

The Cashwrap could go a long way to helping push adoption, but the leaked pricepoint of $70 is likely to represent a major barrier for US iPhone users.
