MEF released its Global Consumer Survey looking at mobile media usage in 13 countries back in December.
The organisation has now created an infographic of its findings, identifying a Mobile 3.0 era of super-apps, regular mobile spending and the growth of high-ticket shopping. The stats are broken down by region to give a global view of the scene, with African countries leading the content and commerce revolution.
While global purchase volumes were down 65 per cent from 2012 to 2013, 39 per cent of mobile media consumers said they had bought an item for more than $150 using their handset.
