Google has announced that it removed over 350m bad ads from its systems in 2013, up from around 220m in 2012.

However, there were a significantly fewer advertisers behind these ads – 270,000 accounts were disabled in 2013, down from 850,000 the year before – which Google says is due to an improved screening process.
