Though 85 per cent of British travellers now prefer to book their holidays online, according to research from Webcredible, just one per cent said they prefer to book using an app.
The study also looked at the user experience offered by various travel bookers online, with Airbnb topping the list, scoring 41.5 out of a possible 50. Travel agent Thomas Cook came in last place, with a score of 30, due to a lack of brand interaction, poor use of email marketing and confusing booking processes.
