Mobile ad network InMobi has struck a deal with digital sports media group PERFORM, for its football news site Goal.com. The partnership makes InMobi exclusively responsible for all African traffic to the mobile site.
“As the world’s largest football website, with over 20m unique users each month, we needed a mobile ad network with the necessary scale and reach to match the size and ambition of our operation,” says Daryn Wober, managing director, global business development, PERFORM. “Furthermore, we needed a partner who has experience working with the growing African mobile advertising industry as we continue to grow our business in the region.”
InMobi will sell over half a billion mobile ad impressions this year from traffic to m.goal.com – January and February will see a boost in traffic from Africa, courtesy of the 2012 African Cup of Nations finals.
