Vantrix, formerly known as VoiceAge Networks, which specialises in
mobile-rich media content adaptation, has picked up the 2006 Frost
& Sullivan Award for Technology Innovation.
The award is presented each year to the company that has demonstrated
technological superiority within its industry. The award recognises the
ability of the company to successfully develop and introduce new
technology, formulate a well-designed product family, and make
significant product performance contributions to the industry.
Vantrixs SPOTxde Server can be implemented as a Single Point of
Transcoding (hence the name) to address all possible content adaptation
needs. This, the company says, allows virtually all devices to
participate in revenue-generating, value-added services, while
providing an optimised user experience.
The solution offers device management, content filtering, content
editing, and business intelligence capabilities as well as support for
mobile marketing, DRM (Digital Rights Management), and live streaming.
“Receiving this award from Frost & Sullivan, a highly respected
growth consulting company, in parallel to our recent and upcoming
customer announcements, is an outstanding validation of our value
proposition and technology offering,” says Vantrix CEO, Jean Mayrand.
Frost & Sullivan Industry Analyst Vikrant Gandhi adds:
“SPOTxde Server solution offers tremendous value to content providers
and mobile operators. The solution offers extensive content
optimization capabilities and can currently transcode to over 35,000
combinations of video, images, audio and text delivered via multiple
channels. Moreover, SPOTxde has demonstrated significantly reduced
failure rates for MMS on mobile operators networks as well.”
