Ad tech firm Insert has revealed its first product, a codeless mobile engagement platform that offers mobile app developers a set of inserts which can be published into live apps in minutes with no coding.
The company, which was founded by the people behind mobile application platform Worklight (now IBM MobileFirst), received $5m (£3.5m) in seed funding last year but has been in “stealth mode” since, working on the project.
The inserts are pre-built, essential features mobile marketers can use to grow user engagement, including features for guidance, communication, conversion, acquisition and other engagement practices, and aim to form an alternative to typical mobile engagement platforms which require development efforts.
“One of the main pain points app owners suffer is the creative lag,” said Shahar Kaminitz, founder and CEO of Inserts. “App owners devices wonderful ideas to grow their app engagement – ideas that are crucial as mobile becomes a prime channel for the enterprise. But then they hit a wall – mobile app development cycles are long, and many of these great marketing ideas get lost in the process or take too long to implement.”
The companys cloud-based platform aims to address this with an inventory of pre-built tools that can be activated at the right moment, with unique auto-discovery technology that learns the app structure, analyses the real-time context and enables marketers to insert features and tools without coding.
“There are endless marketing ideas out there and our unique technology allows us to bring them quickly to life,” said Kaminitz. “Were constantly adding new insert types to our catalogue and invite our custoemrs to share their novel ideas with us.”
