Inspiration…on Your Mobile

Moka LLC has announced the launch of Moka mBooks, which are SMS and email best messages from best-selling books delivered directly to a users mobile phone or inbox. Whether its Plato on a PDA, The Bible on a Blackberry, or a favourite author on a ROKR, users can now receive reinforcement and inspiration to the palm of their hand, with many titles free of charge.
mBooks work on more than 95% of US handsets, including Motorola, Nokia, Samsung, Audiovox, Treo, Blackberry and Sony Ericcson. The service is currently available on major wireless carriers in the US, including AT&T, Verizon, Sprint/Nextel and others. mBook titles include Inner Peace for Busy People by Joan Borysenko; Simple Truths by Kent Nerburn; and You Can Be Happy No Matter What by Richard Carlson.
Moka styles itself as a personal mobile knowledge assistant, always available when users need a little encouragement or wisdom during morning commutes, preparations for a business meeting or while studying for a test. Moka offers best-selling titles in self-improvement, as well as major religious and philosophical writings from around the world.
Mokas mBooks capture the essential ideas from books in concise text messages of 160 characters or less. The end user controls the schedule, frequency and delivery method for receiving messages from mBooks, enabling them to learn and remember whenever and wherever they choose.
We are proud to be the first service that supports personal and professional development via any mobile device,” says Moka CEO, Michael Donahue. “In particular, Mokas self-improvement and religious mBooks are perfectly suited to deliver an enhanced experience for individual growth. We will be adding many titles over the coming months in new categories, including business, health and education. mBooks offer something for everyone.
In developing mBooks, Moka found through focus groups that readers were disappointed with their retention levels of important data. Moka distils an entire work into its most essential messages and delivers those to a use upon request, as often as they want, wherever they are. This allows authors to extend their message to their readers beyond the original experience, providing value to all members of the publishing chain from authors to distributors to readers.
