Instagram has introduced face filters for live video to its photo sharing app – a feature it first launched earlier this year to add to images and videos already captured.
To access the face filters, users have to tap the face icon in the bottom right corner of the screen before or during their broadcast. With the launch of the filters in live video, the Facebook-owned app has added a sunglasses face filter – available for the next few days. Face filters will roll out over the next few weeks.
When a broadcast has ended, users can share a replay to stories, or choose to discard the videos as usual.
In addition to the face filters, Instagram has rolled out stickers to match the changing of seasons around the world.
Instagram users in the northern hemisphere have been given access to acorns, falling leaves, beanies and cups of tea for autumn, while people in the southern hemisphere have received flowers, kits and sprouts to celebrate spring.
