Budget consumer electronics brand Binatone has launched a £130 wi-fi Tablet PC. The HomeSurf 7 Touch Tablet runs the Android OS and has a 7-inch TFT LCD, 800×480 pixel resistive touch screen with stylus and 2GB storage, expandable via MicroSD. It offers MP4, H.264 and XVID video playback, stereo speakers, a built-in microphone and mini USB cable for data transfer. An 8-inch version, the HomeSurf 8, sells for £180.
Binatone says the HomeSurf range has been developed to respond to the growing need amongs consumers for an easy-to-use tablet which delivers excellent functionality, whilst providing outstanding value. It says the HomeSurf PCs will put the tablet into the hands of everyone – no matter what age, experience or technological prowess.
