iPoint-media, which provides live, interactive video applications and delivery platforms for web, mobile and media, has revealed that two UK-based content providers have contracted its wholly-owned subsidiary, All New Video (ANV) to deliver their 3G video calling services. The software as a service (SaaS) agreements have the potential to generate several hundred thousand pounds in revenue for iPoint-media over the next two years, the company says.
The agreements will enable the UK-based content providers to create, launch and deliver a range of premium interactive 3G video content services on iPoint-medias Vitrage video calling application platform. The content providers will benefit from Vitrages video calling capabilities and the ability to deploy new interactive services without incurring any capital expense.
The availability of iPoint-medias Vitrage video calling platform via ANVs SaaS offering is making it possible for content providers to easily expand the reach of their services to 3G mobile users, says Joseph Daniel, iPoint-media VP, Marketing and Sales. We are seeing a growing interest in our video calling application platform and SaaS business model and hope to announce several more deals of this type in the coming months.
iPoint-medias ANV data centre is used to deliver a range of video calling services for UK and other European customers. The centre currently offers services to content providers, healthcare organizations, telecom operators and media broadcasters.
