Prices for the new ASUS Windows tablets have been leaked to ZDNet, with an image detailing the company’s Christmas roadmap. The prices seem rather high for the potential iPad competitors, ranging from $599 (£370) to $1,399, plus an extra $199 for the keyboard dock that Windows hoped would help set it apart from others on the market.
The ASUS Vivo 10.1” tab runs Windows RT and could cost $599. The larger version, with a 11.6” screen will run Windows 8 and looks to have a starting price of $799. The ASUS Taichi convertible tablet/notebook is identified as having a $1,299 pricetag. ZDNet released further details of ASUS machines that aren’t pictured in the image released, including the next generation Transformer, which comes in at an eye-watering $1,399.
