Whispers have reached MMM that ROK – creator of mass-market mobile TV over 2.5G GPRS and movies on memory cards – has cracked the technology required to allow free mobile-to-mobile calls. Marketing Director Bruce Renny is so far remaining (unusually) silent on the subject but the rumours suggest that ROK is planning to give its mobile VoIP application away for free, allowing consumers to make free mobile-to-mobile calls via the internet rather than over mobile networks.
