Its on a (bog) roll. Serious Tissues starts £1 million TV ad campaign

Last December sustainable toilet roll brand Serious Tissues was the winner of Sky Zeros Footprint Fund advertising campaign. The prize was £1 million of advertising. Now, its cashing in.

Serious Tissues makes its sustainable product with paper that would have been otherwise thrown out – such as unused office reports and celebrity glossy mags.

The brand won the top prize at the Sky Zero Footprint Fund Showcase event on December 7, 2022 for a campaign showcasing how its carbon-neutral toilet roll saves trees, shrinks landfills and aids reforestation. Judges singled out the ad for its witty animation, and personable tree characters.

The resultant £1 million campaign will run from today to May 24 and will be broadcast across Sky Media’s Linear TV, and later on Sky’s VOD service.

Chris Baker, Founder of Serious Tissues, said, “We were thrilled to take home the Grand Prix prize, which will expose our brand to millions of new customers. Not only will this help us reduce our industry’s carbon footprint, but it will also be instrumental in helping us make massive strides towards our reforestation goals.”
