Mobile social network itsmy.com is supporting the embattled US automotive industry with 100 million free of mobile web page impressions for brand advertising with banners. The social campaign will be displayed between January and March 2009 on the mobile web for customers of all carriers in the US.
A survey conducted among more than 1,000 itsmy.com users earlier this month revealed that 81% would love to support the automotive industry. itsmy.com says that many of its community members from US cities such as Detroit that are now suffering the impact of the economic crisis like the idea of supporting people and companies in the US car industry with car advertising on their personal mobile homepage.
itsmy.com notes, too, that carmakers have been among the best mobile advertisers on its site in the past. This is why the company has decided to support the industry by giving away 100 million mobile page impressions for a symbolic total payment of $1.
All that carmakers or their marketing or media agencies have to do is to send an email to the itsmy.com team at: [email protected] then send the mobile creative and fill out the purchase order for $1. The inventory offered will be split among all applicants.
