A quick reminder that our Mobile Training Academy webinar kicks off this Wednesday, 4 April, at 4pm GMT/UTC, and is completely free to attend. The 1-hour webinar offers an overview of the role mobile phones and Tablets now play throughout the purchase cycle, in boosting customer acquisition, improving retention and enabling transactions.
The webinar falls into four sections. Section one, The Mobile Landscape, will include high-level stats on mobile ownership and usage, industry trends and technology, which have made mobile as essential channel for B2C and B2B businesses. Section two, Challenges, offers a summary of the key challenges mobile presents, including permission; handset and Tablet diversity; data management; and integrating into clients’ digital and wider communications plans.
Section three, Mobile Format Selection, describes the mobile formats available, and how they work for today’s brands and consumers. Examples include SMS, mobile sites, apps, mobile advertising and search, location-based services, QR codes, Augmented Reality, mobile coupons and payments, and Near Field Communication.
The final section, Getting Started, offers practical advice on moving from mobile trial to delivering coherent, future-proof, effective, measurable mobile promotions that deliver long-term profitable solutions for your customers.
The webinar will be presented by MTA lead trainer Rob Thurner, an established mobile trainer, commentator and evangelist. With 20 years’ digital and traditional marketing experience gained with agencies and international media owners, Rob helps solve clients’ business problems with innovative mobile solutions.
In addition to his role as lead trainer at the Mobile Training Academy, Rob also trains and is a tutor on mobile and digital for the Institute of Direct Marketing, the Institute for Promotional Marketing, and the IAB, where he was a founding member of the Mobile Leadership Council.
