Just Two Weeks Left to Enter the Effective Mobile Marketing Awards

There are now less than two weeks left to enter the Effective Mobile Marketing Awards 2011, sponsored by global mobile marketing firm Upstream. Entries can be submitted on the Awards website, where you will find the entry form and full details of the entry criteria. The deadline for entries is Friday, 26 August, just 11 days away.

There are new categories this year, and one additional sponsor, mobile recruitment specialist Propel, already on board, with more to be announced in the coming weeks. This year as last, however, the focus of the Awards will be on recognising and rewards the mobile marketing initiatives that have worked hardest and most effectively to deliver return on investment.

Judges for this years Awards include Jon Mew, head of mobile at the IAB; mobile specialist and long-time contributor to Mobile Marketing, Helen Keegan; ex-Incentivated commercial director and mobile training specialist Robert Thurner; Andy Favell, editor of mobiThinking; and MobileGroove founder and editor, Peggy Anne Salz; Nick Lane, chief analyst at research firm, mobileSQUARED; and Mobile Industry Review editor and founder, Ewan MacLeod. The judging panel will be chaired by Mobile Marketing editor, David Murphy.

“Sponsoring the Effective Mobile Marketing Awards in 2010 was a great move for us, and we had no hesitation in signing up again this year,” says Upstream CEO, Alex Vratskides. “Effectiveness underpins everything we do for our global client base, so these Awards, celebrating mobile marketing effectiveness, are a perfect fit.”

New categories this year include Most Effective Tablet Application; Most Effective Mobile Advertising Platform/Network; Most Effective Campaign from a Mobile Operator; and Most Effective Mobile Publishing Solution.

The deadline for entries is 5pm (UK time), Friday 26 August 2011, with the shortlist announced in September, and the Awards Ceremony scheduled for 3 November in London. As last year, there is no entry fee, and also, as last year, we are keen to receive entries from across the globe. For more information, head for the Awards website.
