Kindle MatchBook Brings Online and Offline Reading Together

Amazon has launched a discount offer on Kindle books – offering them for download from $2.99, down to giving them away for free – if the physical edition has already been bought new from the site.
Any paperback puchased from Amazon dating back to when the site launched in 1995 is eligible for discounted digital purchase when it becomes available. More than 70,000 books, including titles from HarperCollins and Macmillan, are already enrolled with MatchBook. 
The service is similar to Amazons AutoRip for CDs, Vinyl and MP3s.
