Klear adds Instagram Stories tracking for influencer marketing campaigns

Klear Instagram StoriesInfluencer marketing technology company Klear has updated its influencer search engine to include the automatic tracking of content posted to Instagram Stories.

The move means that Instagram Stories joins Instagram itself, Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter as a source for Klear’s campaign performance measurement solution. This solution tracks content generated by activated influencers of a campaign, and generates a real-time report based on said content and associated performance metrics.

“This is a major enhancement for clients who run Instagram influencer campaigns,” said Klear COO Guy Avigdor. “Instagram Stories has become the dominant feature of sharing updates on Instagram. Until now, marketers weren’t able to properly measure the impact of this specific type of generated content. It’s another powerful tool on our platform that helps brands assess the impact and media value actually achieved working with influencers.”

Tracking of Instagram Stories will work the same as any other social media post – with pre-defined hashtags and handles automatically identified. Influencers must have an Instagram business account and will have to authenticate it in order for marketers to access their stories’ analytics.

Statistics available on stories will include unique views – which are aggregated with reach – and the number of messages a story receives from the audience – counted as engagements.
