Kony Launches Mobile App Manager, Updates KonyOne Platform

Kony Solutions, the multi-channel application development platform and business applications provider, has embarked on a multi-phase rollout of offerings that it says will allow enterprises to grow their businesses; enhance agility and streamline processes; reduce IT costs; drive customer loyalty and keep ahead of the evolving demands of the mobile marketplace, by leveraging advanced multi-channel development capabilities. Kony says its new open, industry-standard offerings will allow businesses to enhance and extend their mobile application development and management capabilities across business to employee (B2E), business to business (B2B), and business to consumer (B2C) environments.

Mobile application development has become a top concern for enterprises and their CIOs. According to Gartner’s 2012 CIO Survey, 61 per cent of respondents plan to enhance their mobility capability during the next three years, and 48 per cent believe they will become leaders in their industries by fully adopting innovative mobility solutions. Gartner further states that: “increasingly, enterprises are looking for a single MADP (Mobile Application Development Platform) that can address most, if not all, of their future projects across all scenarios and meet requirements for B2C, B2B and B2E projects.”

The first offering is Kony Mobile App Manager, a mobile application management (MAM) offering designed to ease the IT management workload and improve security for B2E deployments. Kony’s MAM allows enterprises to build, deploy and manage the full range of mobile applications, including pre-packaged a
