Global marketing and technology agency LBi has signed a partnership deal with mobile app developer, Service2Media. The deal will see LBi integrate the Service2Media App Lifecycle Platform into its growing portfolio of mobile services and digital technologies. LBi says the move will allow it to rapidly develop and distribute mobile apps on behalf of its portfolio of big-brand clients, including Coca-Cola, SAB Miller and Sony Ericsson.
The App Lifecycle Platform is device-agnostic, meaning that mobile apps only need to be created once for use across multiple platforms. It automates the development process to output the same app for any mobile or Tablet device (iPhone, Blackberry, Android, J2ME/Symbian, Windows Phone 7 and HTML5) giving LBi and its clients a cost effective, cross-platform route to market for mobile applications. The platform has been used to develop and maintain apps for international clients, including CNN, Al Jazeera and Rabobank.
As part of the deal, as Service2Media expands globally, LBi will combine and share professional consulting capabilities and sales resources to extend each business’ reach in to local markets. Initially going live in the UK, US and Dubai, the Service2Media App Lifecycle Platform will be rolled out across LBi’s global network of agencies.
