LG Adds 8.3″ Tablet to its G Series Line

LG has revealed the G Pad 8.3, adding a tablet to its G Series line of smartphones. As the name suggest, the device features an 8.3” screen, slightly bigger than the iPad Mini.

Theres not much in the specs that makes the G Pad stand out from the crowd: it runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean), with a 1.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 Processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of built-in storage.

“Complementing our G Series smartphones, the introduction of the LG G Pad 8.3 further strengthens LG’s premium lineup consisting of our most cutting-edge devices,” said Jong-seok Park, president and CEO of the companys mobile division. “Our G Pad is just another example of LG delivering devices with the unique selling points consumers around the world will appreciate.”

The LG G Pad 8.3 will be rolled out globally beginning Q4, 2013. No pricing details have yet been announced.
