Liberty Marketing Communications has announced its partnership of the wireless Innovation Showcase, which will take place during the 2006 International Broadcasting Convention (IBC), at the RAI convention centre in Amsterdam, which runs from 8 – 12 September.
Libertys participation at IBC recognises the companys evolution towards mobility this year. The Innovation Showcase will demonstrate leading-edge technologies that support media on the move, and acknowledge advances made in wearable technology and other ground-breaking mobile solutions. The company is sharing the showcase with Webmobility Ventures, whose chairman, Ken Blakeslee, is responsible for its design.
The showcase is an exhibit of innovative enabling technologies that change the way people consume and enjoy content says Liberty Consumer Technology Director Mark Casey. The showcase will promote technologies with true consumer value, rarely seen amongst a market which is often full of expectation and short on delivery.
Delivering content on the move has been a hot topic for 2006. IBCs Media on the Move theme day will be directly addressing this subject, while taking a technically-neutral stance by focusing on business models for content delivery. The IBC event will explore established and emerging business models, including mass market delivery, interactivity and Mobile TV, finishing with a round up of the lessons learnt from the various trials around the world.
