The next generation of wearable health technology has been launched by lark. Worn on the wrist and linked to a free iOS app, larklife helps users monitor diet, fitness and stress.
The wireless life coach bands – one for daytime and one for night – track sleep, food intake and activity data, which is sent to the app via Bluetooth 4.0. It then gives simple, personalised and real-time tips that will help them improve energy and productivity.
The package was designed by a team of scientists and experts, including a Stanford neuroeconomist, a pro-sports sleep coach and a Harvard psychologist and sleep expert, to give science-based lifestyle recommendations suggesting small changes users can make to feel better.
“This product doesn’t just give people their data and expect them to know how to use it,” said Dr. Baba Shiv, larklife advisor, neuroeconomist and Stanford faculty. “My research is about what motivates people to build habits and we’ve incorporated the finding in larklife to ensure that it will work seamlessly in the background to help people become more productive, energetic and less stressed overall.”
The larklife costs $149.99 (£93) and can be pre-ordered now.
