Live Gamer, which claims to be the world’s first combined digital commerce and advertising platform for the interactive entertainment industry, has added PaymentOne’s white-label mobile payment service to its platform, in order to expand its mobile payment options.

PaymentOne’s AnyPhone platform offers users an easy way to make one-off or recurring in-game purchases that are charged to their mobile, landline or broadband bill. AnyPhone’s patented technology allows the consumer to enter any number they own for billing purposes. The platform automatically identifies the type of number and best billing account, and then routes the payment process.

PaymentOne’s platform covers more than 80 countries and 4bn consumers, and offers merchant-centric branding, patented fraud mitigation and risk management capabilities. The company has more than 12 years’ history in the alternative payments space, during which time it has processed in excess of $5bn in direct-to-carrier billings with micro transactions typical of in-game purchases and game subscriptions, for clients including Blizzard Entertainment, America Online, Gaia and WeeWorld.
