Liverpool FC launches TikToks first official Premier League account

Liverpool FC TikTokLiverpool FC has become the first Premier League club to open an official TikTok account, joining European sides such as Inter Milan, AS Monaco, and Borussia Dortmund in looking to reach and engage with younger fans on the popular short-form video app.

The @liverpoolfc account will share short videos and behind-the-scenes footage from around the Champions League finalists, including training ground moments, entertaining clips, and video-worthy goal celebrations from first-team players.

“We’re always looking for creative and innovative ways to strengthen our close ties and engage with our fans around the world,” said Markus Breglec, SVP of marketing and media at Liverpool FC. “Today we are proud to launch our new official channel on TikTok – we see a lot of potential to reach a new and younger audience with interesting, engaging video content.”

So far, Liverpool have uploaded two videos. The first features three Liverpool stars, including Premier League Player of the Year Virgil van Dijk and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, pulling out a popular Fortnite dance to Walk It, Talk It by Migos and Drake. The second puts the spotlight on Roberto Firmino’s classy goal in the club’s 5-1 dismantling of Arsenal at Anfield.
