With snow and freezing weather continuing to disrupt holiday plans across Europe, Lonely Planet has made 13 of its European iPhone City Guides available for free to travellers.
The guides will be free in the iTunes App Store until 2am, Thursday 23 December 2010. They cover the following cities (including, hopefully, their airports): Amsterdam, Berlin, Copenhagen, Dublin, London, Moscow, Munich, Paris, Prague, St. Petersburg, Stockholm, Vienna and Warsaw.
“We know that travellers who might be stuck in unfamiliar places over Christmas will need access to practical information as well as suggestions on what to do while they’re stranded,” says Lonely Planet’s Tom Hall “That’s why we’re giving away our iPhone City Guides to many of the European destinations impacted by the snow chaos.”
Lonely Planet has also made its Compass City Guides for Android available for $0.99 in Android Market for a limited time.
