Looking for the Best Mobile Coupon & Barcode Campaigns

12 months ago, mobile coupons were largely unused by the majority of brands, owing to consumers’ unfamiliarity with them, and the perceived difficulties in integrating them with retailers’ point of sale systems.
Despite this, we saw some strong entries in this category in 2011, with Sainsbury’s and Groupe Aeroplan taking the honours for the retailer’s mobile app, in which mobile coupons feature heavily, with deep integration with the Nectar loyalty program.
In 2012, there has been much more activity on the mobile couponing front, not to mention the rapid rise to prominence of QR codes, which now seem to be part of the street furniture of the urban landscape, appearing on billboards, posters, even paving.
So we are expecting a barrage of entries in the Most Effective Mobile Couponing and Barcode Campaign category in this year’s Effective Mobile Marketing Awardss, sponsored by OpenMarket, Propel and 7Digital.

If you have great work to showcase in this area, head over to the Awards website for details, download the Entry Form, and get it back to us before 10 August. And remember, its completely free to enter, and you can submit as many campaigns as you think are worthy of recognition.

The Awards Ceremony takes place in London on 29 November.

If you missed our Awards webinar earlier this week, you can catch a recording of it here. It’s very short, only around 10 minutes, just a quick run through of the entry criteria and key dates.
