Loot Turns to Text to Drive Repeat Visits

White-label competition platform TopFox has developed a text to win feature for Loot.com and its range of print publications. After a successful trial, the feature is now being incorporated into Loots core business.
Loot, part of Associated Newspapers, initially signed up to TopFox to increase repeat visits to its site by offering visitors prizes and special offers. Readers know they can use Loot to bag a bargain, and TopFox gives them a reason to come back a lot more often, says Loot Business Analyst, Nick Fleetwood.
The TopFox solution helps publishers to create, host and manage competitions with a seamless look and feel, keeping visitors within their site at the same time as generating an additional revenue stream. Publishers can customise their content and offers, create banners and email newsletters, add their own exclusive competitions and have complete control over the promotions run on their site.
After proving popular online, the TopFox text to win solution has now been extended to Loots print publications, generating income from premium rate SMS entries. Text to win competitions give our readers an instant way to enter, without requiring them to visit the website, says Fleetwood. Our readers already use SMS to submit adverts and contact sellers so they have been quick to try out this new competitions service.
TopFox is one of a number of online lead generation solutions from the Magnetise Group. Entries to sponsored competitions are charged to the sponsor on a cost per lead (CPL) basis, ensuring the right price is paid for each response, and creating a fair and fruitful return.
