UK company Nice-1 Mobile has announced the launch of its application of the same name, which it describes as a new concept in mobile communication.
Nice-1 Mobile uses the Internet as a message transport system, thereby all but obviating the involvement of the networks according to the company. The result is a text and e-mail messaging system for mobile phones that operates at a fraction of the cost of standard text and photo-messaging. Nice-1, the company says, provides a single environment for taking photos, sending text and photos and e-mailing all at incredibly low cost. The way the application is structured also means that advertisers or corporates can text Nice-1 users as many times as they wish for free.
Nice-1 has been developed by two UK application developers, Patrick Brown and Peter Callaghan, who learnt the intricacies of mobile phone software development when designing and building a secure mobile trading application that has been successfully deployed in the UK, Australia and the Middle East. They subsequently invested their own time and money in designing and building the Nice-1 application.
