Lyle & Scott Launches Contactless Jacket for Barclaycard Payments

Fashion brand Lyle & Scott has launched The Contactless Jacket, a coat that enables the wearer to make contactless payments.
With a Barclaycard bPay chip embedded in its cuff, which can be linked to any debit or credit card, the jacket makes it possible to pay for items with a tap of the wrist. Whether this is a behaviour that people will adopt – or merchants will manage to not find suspicious – remains to be same.
Nevertheless, its a timely launch, following yesterdays increase in the maximum contactless, from £20 to £30. 
The jacket is on sale through Lyle & Scotts site for £150, and the embedded chip is valid for two years.
