Marvellous Launches Birthdays App – and its Not for the iPhone

Interactive agency Marvellous has created an application for Nokia phones to alert users of upcoming friends birthdays.
The app, called Friends Birthdays For Facebook, connects the users mobile with their Facebook account and saves friends birthday dates that are stored on Facebook. When a friends birthday is coming up, the user is alerted via their mobile and given the choice to quickly create and send them a mobile birthday card.
As a simple, functional mash up, the app does exactly what it says on the tin and for privacy reasons uses only birthday information that friends make publicly available. The app is available on Nokia handsets and can be downloaded for free from the Nokia Ovi Store here.
