Digital communications agency Glass
has appointed Craig Massey to head up the Glass mobile team. Massey,
who has been in the mobile industry for the past seven years, has acted
as a consultant to Glass since November last year. Glass says the move
will strengthen its position as a one-stop-shop for convergent
communications across multiple platforms, including online, mobile and
digital TV.
Massey was previously CEO of Brainstorm, a technology
company that created the Dragon mobile marketing platform, and was
subsequently acquired by Opera Telecom in 2004. In his role as CEO of
Brainstorm, Craig was part of the founding team of the Mobile Marketing
Association in 1999.
He has also worked with a number of blue-chips,
including O2, Virgin Mobile, BBC, CNN, Reuters, ITV, and Vodafone,
delivering mobile marketing campaigns, user-generated-content modules,
broadcaster interactive modules and inbound video and MMS, on the
Dragon platform.
Glass Co-founder and CEO Ben Hart says Masseys
appointment is part of the companys strategy of offering an integrated
portfolio of digital services across multiple platforms.
It has
always been part of our core belief that we need to reach consumers
across multiple channels, at different times and in different
locations says Hart. Having initiated many mobile activities for our
clients, including mobile Internet sites and interactive mobile
marketing campaigns, we are pleased to strengthen our digital core
offering to our clients with the addition of Craig to our team.”
