Mavenir Systems, which provides mobile infrastructure solutions for LTE operators, has acquired Airwide Solutions, the mobile messaging specialist, for an undisclosed sum.

Mavenir says the acquisition positions the company as a strong global force, fully capable of enabling mobile operators to transform their core network and launch converged voice, video and messaging services over LTE.
Airwide’s employees and product portfolio will be fully integrated into Mavenir, enabling the combined company to deliver a strong portfolio of LTE solutions to Airwide customers around the world.
