MCash has launched its mobile financial service in Uganda, which intends to reach areas underserved by banks, in partnership with Housing Finance Bank. MCash enables customers to open and access virtual bank accounts on which they can save their money, send or transfer money to someone else or make payments to participating Merchants. The payment solution uses a variety of authentication mechanisms – NSDT, fingerprint, NFC, and voice biometric.
“Unlike many other mobile payment products on the market, MCash allows anyone to open a bank account, without being restricted by mobile network, software downloads, phone types or a single method of authenticating account ownership,” says Edith Gasana Kutesa, CEO of MCash Uganda . “A completely revolutionary product, MCash is a simple-to-use, completely secure solution that lets customers access and use their accounts 24/7, with transactions that happen in real time.”
