MediaCom Acquires Code Computerlove

Mediacom + Code ComputerloveWPP-owned global media agency MediaCom has acquired Code Computerlove, a Manchester-based digital product agency. The terms of the deal are undisclosed.

Code Computerlove, which works with clients such as Asda, Amnesty International and Chester Zoo, will join the MediaCom North group.

It will continue to be run by founders Tony Foggett, Louis Georgiou and Wini Tse – who have maintained a combined 25 per cent stake in the business – and will remain in its Manchester office.

Foggett, CEO of Code Computerlove, said: “Over the past few years we have been transforming Code’s offer and operating model to be able to help our clients behave more like startups, continually iterating to create brilliant digital experiences that keep them ahead of their competition.

“Joining the MediaCom network will allow us to take this approach to another level of ambition and can help us accelerate our vision for Code’s future.”

Paul Cooper, managing director of MediaCom Manchester, will take overall responsibility of the organisation going forward.

“In the last four years we have more than doubled the size of our business and this acquisition gives us a platform to do the same over the next four years,” Cooper said. “I am delighted to welcome Code into the MediaCom family.”
