Advertising automation firm Mediaocean has acquired Invision, which provides cross-device, sell-side workflow solutions to major media companies.
Founded in 1993, Invision serves the cable, broadcast, syndication, satellite and MVPD multichannel video programming distributor) markets through its suite of products including DealMaker, DealMaker Digital and ProPost that automate the end-to-end advertising sales workflow and provide advanced inventory management and stewardship tools.
Invision is Mediaocean’s fourth acquisition since it was itself acquired by Vista Equity Partners in August 2015. The terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
“As marketing transforms into multi-screen, IP-based cross media, the futures, spot and real time markets are converging,” said Mediaocean CEO Bill Wise. “It is crucial for us to provide integrated platforms that bring buyers and sellers closer together in a neutral and open way. We will accelerate automation and reduce inefficiencies. Invision is a great business by itself, but integrated more tightly into the agency workflow, it’s a win-win for agencies and broadcasters.”
