Mobile search and advertising solutions provider Medio Systems has appointed Eugene M. Kuerner as Vice President of Engineering, and Cheryl Scott as Vice President of Carrier Deployments.
As Vice President of Engineering, Kuerner will be responsible for enhancing Medios current technology platform, as well as producing the next generation of mobile search and advertising solutions. He will also oversee Medios development team.
As Vice President of Carrier Deployments, Scott will manage Medios deployment team, responsible for efficiently deploying search solutions for operators such as Verizon, T-Mobile USA and T-Mobile International. Both Scott and Kuerner will report to Chief Operating Officer, Rob Lilleness.

Kuerners background includes more than 20 years of product development experience, including 11 years of senior software development leadership, technology management and business development. As a General Manager at Microsoft, Kuerner led technical teams for MSN.com and Live.com. Prior to Microsoft, Kuerner managed software development teams at The Walt Disney Company and Sun Microsystems. He earned a Master of Science in Engineering Management and Computer Engineering from the
University of Santa Clara, and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematical and Computational Sciences from Stanford University.
Scott has more than 25 years experience in delivering software solutions to international companies, with 14 years of senior leadership in software design and operational excellence. As a consultant to Universal Electronics, she drove multiple releases of award-winning embedded consumer products for mobile platforms, helped develop the companys product strategy for Nevo, and managed development relationships with partners including Hewlett-Packard.
Prior to Universal, she served as Vice President of Internet Services Group at Trilogy and held management roles at Microsoft, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and Execucom Systems. She earned an MBA in Management Information Systems from Indiana University, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Illinois.
