MEF Creates CEO Position

Mobile trade association MEF has announcements two major changes to its leadership team. Former executive director Rimma Perelmuter taking up the newly created position of CEO, and Joanne Lacey has joined as chief operating officer (COO)

Perelmuter has been at MEF since its launch in 2001, and helped grow its global footprint to include chapters in EMEA, Asia, North and Latin America. Her appointment to CEO is intended to reflect this expanded remit, as well as an increasing focus on delivering commercial benefits to MEFs members.

Joining the MEF Global team based in London, Lacey has over 12 years experience in the mobile industry. At MEF, she will manage the operations and staff of the organisation, as well as the strategic development and rollout of global member services roadmap and initiatives.

“As the mobile becomes the consumer’s first screen all over the word, MEF’s mission serves a very rapidly expanding community,” said MEF global chairman Andrew Bud. “Rimma and Joanne’s appointments reflect MEF’s commitment to support our member base in both developed and growth markets, by delivering member-focused products and services that make MEF an essential business enabler.”
