MEF has announced the results of its MEF Americas board elections. Ron Czerny, Playphone CEO was re-elected as chairman of the LatAm board, while Jorge Partidas, WAU Movil founder & CEO was re-elected as vice-chair. This year there were 12 open seats on the LatAm Board; new member companies now represented include Movile, Naranya, Binbit, Nokia and Turner Broadcasting.
The N. America Board saw Gary Schwartz, president of Impact Mobile, re-elected as chairman, and Sanjaya Krishna, principal and US digital services leader, KPMG, re-elected as vice-chair. Representatives from new MEF members Sprint and Turner Broadcasting were elected, joining long-time members from Jumptap and LightSquared to complete the five available positions.
