MEF Unveils 2010 Global Board

The Mobile Entertainment Forum (MEF) has announced details of its new global board. Luca Pagano, vice president publishing at EA Mobile; Rob Lewis, executive chairman at Omnifone; and James Parton, head of developer marketing at Telefonica all join the board for the first time, while directors from both KPMG and Shazam were re-elected to the board, Andrew Bud was re-elected as global chairman, and Pete Wood was elected as global vice chairman.

Two awards were presented for the first time at the AGM to recognise individual leadership and commitment to MEF and the mobile media industry. The Member of Distinction Award was given to Alex Haffner of Denton Wilde Sapte for his support on MEF’s regulatory work, and his role in producing initiative guides for members. The MEF Director of Distinction Award was presented jointly to MEF N. America chairman Gary Schwartz and MEF EMEA chairman Gerrit Jan Konijnenberg. Both have contributed to the success of MEF, with Schwartz’s leadership on the MEF’s M-Commerce Initiative and Canada events, and Gerrit’s regional expansion efforts throughout EMEA.
