Melbourne FC Kicks Off Mobile Couponing Campaign

Australian Football League team Melbourne FC has teamed up with Australian retailer Betta Home Living and proximity marketing firm DC4G to introduce mobile couponing at its forthcoming Queens birthday bank holiday game with Collingwood.

Scoreboards at the Melbourne Cricket Ground will display a shortcode which fans can text to receive a unique code, which can be redeemed online or through an EFTPOS terminal to receive a discount.

“We see mobile as being a key communication channel with our members and supporters,” said Peter Maynard, general manager, commercial operations, at Melbourne Football Club. “Using the DC4G proximity-marketing platform allows us to engage our fans and sponsors in high quality two-way conversations within a personal platform.”
