Meme Launches Cross-Platform Business Apps Platform

Mobile apps service provider Meme has announced Meme IDE, a cross-platform tool for developing and managing business applications.

It allows developers to build, test and deploy business apps on Windows Mobile and Android devices.

Meme IDE is based on the Eclipse framework, and integrates vendor SDKs with Meme Script, a proprietary programming syntax developed by Meme CTO Simon Monk. “We aim to shatter the barriers and complexities experienced by developers when building for multiple platforms by creating a unique, highly differentiated development environment,” he says.

Meme IDE allows developers to deploy Windows Mobile 6.5 apps to Android, and the company says that BlackBerry and iPhone deployment will follow in future updates.

The interface has a cross-platform screen designer so that devs can view their work on different devices as they work. It also comes with video tutorials and demonstrations, and users can go to The Meme Forum to join the community and seek answers to questions.

Meme IDE beta is available now for free via www.memeide.com
