Mercedes-Benz Sees 170 Per Cent Jump in Mobile Traffic

Mercedes-Benz USA has launched a mobile-optimised site, after seeing a 170 per cent growth in mobile traffic over the last year.

The mobile site, created by Usablenet, enables users to browse high-res image galleries through carousels and gesture navigation. It also features interactive models of the cars on offer, which can be customised by exterior colour and interior options, and location-based find your nearest dealer functionality.

“Mercedes noticed that many of its customers were browsing vehicles while out on the weekends. They recognized that the ideal mobile solution must enable consumers to search for Mercedes vehicles and complete their initial discovery on the go,” said Usablenet New York CMO Carin van Vuuren. “The Mercedes mobile solution effectively facilitates what the automotive customer most wants to accomplish when engaging with the brand via mobile.”
