Mercury Holidays has named Christian Armond as its first Chief Marketing Officer.
Armond will focus on developing the travel company’s digital marketing, with an emphasis on performance-driven strategies.
With extensive travel industry experience, Armond previously served as Group Marketing Director at Ocean Holidays until July 2023, and held senior marketing roles at Love Holidays and TUI.
Mercury Holidays chairman Martin Bugeja said: “‘We are delighted to have Chris join our team. He brings a wealth of marketing and travel industry experience and will be great addition in achieving our strategic growth targets through performance-led marketing.”
Armond added: “I’m hugely excited to be joining Mercury Holidays, and look forward to working with the team to support their growth strategy in direct and trade channels, and building on their success as one of the UK’s leading independent tour operators.”
This move follows a trend of brands introducing the CMO role, including Hovis, Warner Holidays, and Revolut, all of which appointed marketing leads in July.
