Austrian company TIGAL has launched its Messagenie solution. Messagenie G1 is designed to help enterprises of all sizes with limited budgets easily integrate SMS and MMS messaging in their marketing and communications activity.
It takes the form of a compact box, with an integrated quad band GSM modem and 2GB internal MMC/SD card for storing up to 4 million SMS or 40,000 MMS messages. It also includes two USB ports to store messages on an external USB memory stick or a USB hard drive. According to the firm, its a compact, powerful and low-cost solution or managing a large number of SMS and MMS messages from a PC or network, designed for organizations with limited budgets.
Messagenie G1 enables users to send, receive and organize SMS and MMS messages using a commercial SIM card through an easy-to-use interface. It can be plugged in to a PC or Local Area Network for multiple users, and is ready to run out-of-the-box. Default features include sending and receiving SMS messages, automatic poll and survey generation, phone book and contact management, user profiles, system configuration and a Wall function for projecting messages on to a wall, screen or an external monitor. Default functionality can be easily expanded through an ever increasing number of off-the-shelf or custom plug-ins, says TIGAL.
The company adds that the solution is more flexible than most common, web-based mobile messaging solutions, since it does not requiring an Internet connection, with messages being sent via the SIM cards cellular connection. The quad-band GSM modem means that Messagenie can be operated anywhere in the world.
