Millennial Media has released a new set of tools to help developers monetise their apps through mobile advertising.
The new toolset is part of the beta of the companys mmDev developer portal.
One of the key new features in the toolset is the ability to implement house ads within apps – this allows developers to promote apps from elsewhere in the companys portfolio, and also encourage users to upgrade to a paid version of the app theyre using.
The new mmDev tools incorporates a My Apps Dashboard which allows developers to view a snapshot of activity across all of their apps. It also features improved reporting, allowing devs to view their apps performance with data broken down by country and by carrier. 
mmDev now has a feedback tool built in – which allows developers to get in touch with Millennial Media to suggest improvements to the system.
