The Met Office Weather app, developed by Mubaloo, has been downloaded over 1m times – nearly half of which have come since the apps relaunch less than two weeks ago. The figure might well have been helped by the cold weather and arrival of snow in Britain, with the app being used over 6.5m times last weekend.
On iOS, 439,000 users downloaded the app for the first time, adding to an existing of 491,000 on iOS. The Android app was used more than 300,000 times over the weekend, and saw 29,000 new users over the weekend, bringing the total number of downloads to nearly 71,000.
