MLOVE Event Launches Start-Up Competition

MLOVE ConFestival has announced a competition to find the most promising start-ups in the mobile space.

The Berlin event, which takes place from June 29 to July 2, is looking for companies behind exciting new apps or mobile services, or companies that demonstrate a new way to use mobile technology.

The competition is open to companies that have so far raised less than €1m, and that have been founded since January 1, 2010. Five winners will win the chance to present their company on stage at the MLOVE ConFestival.

To enter, send a short description of your product or service to [email protected]

The judges for the award include Jean Schmitt, managing partner of JolTech and Sofinnova Partners, and Daniel Graf, director of Googles Apps Lab.

In other MLOVE ConFestival news, the event has announced a raft of new speakers. The presentations are in five groups; these are mobile innovation, advertising/media/communications, gaming/music, health/sensors, and social change.

Highlights include a presentation from Peter Vesterbacka, CMO of Angry Birds, and a presentation from Corvida Raven, founder of shegeeks.net

Will Samson, editor of Contagious Magazine, will feature in the media line up, while Googles Daniel Graf will also speak on innovation.
